Garlic Butter Prawn Pasta in 15 Minutes by Maxy69838

Garlicky lemon butter prawns tossed through silky pasta in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 200g linguine or spaghetti
  • 250g raw king prawns, peeled
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • a mug of reserved pasta water
  • small handful parsley, chopped
  • 30g grated parmesan
  • salt, black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in well-salted water until just shy of al dente, and save a mug of the pasta water before draining.
  2. Melt the butter with the olive oil, add the garlic and chilli flakes and cook for a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the prawns and cook 2 min each side until just pink, then stir in the lemon zest and juice.
  4. Toss in the drained pasta with a good splash of pasta water and swirl until glossy and coating.
  5. Off the heat stir through the parmesan and parsley, season well, and finish with an extra squeeze of lemon.
