Cedar-Plank Miso Salmon That Tastes Like a Restaurant by Maxy69838

A side of salmon glazed with miso and cooked on a smoking cedar plank.

Ingredients
- 1 side of salmon (about 500g), skin on
- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 cedar plank, soaked in water for 1 hour
- 1 spring onion, sliced (to serve)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (to serve)
Instructions
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least an hour so it smokes instead of burning.
- Whisk the miso, mirin, soy, honey and ginger into a smooth glaze.
- Sit the salmon skin-side down on the soaked plank and spread the miso glaze over the top.
- Set the plank on the grill grate over medium coals, close the lid and cook about 15 to 18 minutes until just set.
- Scatter with spring onion and sesame seeds and serve straight off the plank.
