15-Minute Honey Garlic Salmon by Maxy69838

Pan-seared salmon glazed with sticky honey, soy, and lemon in one pan.

Serves: 2Prep: 5 minCook: 10 min

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (skin-on, ~150g each)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (or 1 fresh chili, sliced)
  • 2 green onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (for searing)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side up for 3–4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook 2 minutes more. Lift out and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and chilli to the same pan and soften for 1 minute, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn.
  4. Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Let the glaze bubble for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return salmon to the pan and spoon the glaze over the fillets repeatedly for 1 minute until well coated and glossy.
  6. Plate the salmon, drizzle any remaining glaze over the top, and finish with sliced spring onion and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
