Pan-seared salmon glazed with sticky honey, soy, and lemon in one pan.
Serves: 2Prep: 5 minCook: 10 min
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (skin-on, ~150g each)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (or 1 fresh chili, sliced)
- 2 green onion, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (for searing)
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side up for 3–4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook 2 minutes more. Lift out and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and chilli to the same pan and soften for 1 minute, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Let the glaze bubble for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return salmon to the pan and spoon the glaze over the fillets repeatedly for 1 minute until well coated and glossy.
- Plate the salmon, drizzle any remaining glaze over the top, and finish with sliced spring onion and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
