Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) thinly sliced ribeye
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-inch knob ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced ribeye to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated, and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and sliced onions, cooking for 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and edges are slightly caramelized.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds before serving immediately.
