Crispy Cheesy Potato Balls by Martinsternbergs
Crispy golden potato spheres filled with a molten, gooey cheese center and served warm.

Ingredients
- 500g (1.1 lb) potatoes, peeled and boiled
- 100g (3.5 oz) mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 500ml (2 cup) vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Mash the boiled potatoes in a large bowl until smooth, then stir in salt and pepper.
- Take a small portion of mashed potato, flatten it in your palm, place a cheese cube in the center, and roll into a tight ball.
- Dip each potato ball into the beaten egg, then roll in bread crumbs until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F).
- Fry the potato balls in batches for 3-4 minutes until they reach a deep golden brown color.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels before serving hot
