Garlic Chili Crisp Lemon Sardines by Marion S Kitchen

Tender sardines tossed in a vibrant, spicy chili crisp glaze with bright lemon and aromatic garlic.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (approx 120g each) sardines in olive oil, drained
  • 2 tbsp chili crisp
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat for 1 minute.
  2. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Gently fold in the drained sardines, being careful not to break them up too much, and cook for 2 minutes to warm through.
  4. Stir in the chili crisp and lemon juice, tossing gently to coat the sardines evenly for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with lemon zest and fresh parsley, and serve immediately
