Ingredients
- 2 cup pancake mix
- 1 1/2 cup water (adjust for desired pourable consistency)
- 4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Whisk the pancake mix and water in a medium bowl until the batter is smooth and free of large lumps.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or a piping bag with a small opening until ready to serve.
- Drizzle the batter into the hot oil in a circular, overlapping motion to form a web-like pattern until ready to serve.
- Fry for 1-2 minutes per side until the funnel cake is deep golden brown.
- Remove with tongs or a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels for 1 minute.
- Dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm and serve immediately until ready to serve.
