  • 12 jumbo wafer cups
  • 1 box pineapple cake mix (prepared according to package instructions)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
  • 12 maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pineapple cake mix in a large bowl according to the specific instructions provided on the box.
  3. Place a small spoonful of brown sugar into the bottom of each jumbo wafer cup.
  4. Add one pineapple chunk and one maraschino cherry on top of the brown sugar in each cup.
  5. Fill each cup about 3/4 full with the prepared cake batter, ensuring not to overflow the cups.
  6. Place the cups on a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
