- 12 jumbo wafer cups
- 1 box pineapple cake mix (prepared according to package instructions)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
- 12 maraschino cherries
- 1/2 cup whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pineapple cake mix in a large bowl according to the specific instructions provided on the box.
- Place a small spoonful of brown sugar into the bottom of each jumbo wafer cup.
- Add one pineapple chunk and one maraschino cherry on top of the brown sugar in each cup.
- Fill each cup about 3/4 full with the prepared cake batter, ensuring not to overflow the cups.
- Place the cups on a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cups to cool for 5 minutes before serving, optionally topped with whipped cream.
