Individual cake portions baked directly into crisp ice cream cones for a portable, fork-free dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (approx 450g) prepared cake batter (any flavor)
  • 12 flat-bottomed ice cream cones

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Tear a piece of aluminum foil large enough to cover the top of a 12-cup muffin pan.
  3. Press the foil tightly over the muffin pan, molding it into each cavity.
  4. Cut an 'X' shape into the foil over each muffin well using a sharp knife.
  5. Gently twist an ice cream cone into each 'X' slit until it sits securely in the well.
  6. Spoon the cake batter into each cone, filling them about 2/3 of the way full.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before adding frosting or decorations.
