Ingredients
- 2 cans (approx. 12 oz each) chicken, drained
- 1/2 small red onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices cheese (e.g., cheddar or swiss)
- 4 slices bread
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the drained chicken, finely diced red onion, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly among 2 slices of bread, spreading it to the edges until ready to serve.
- Top each portion with 2 slices of cheese until ready to serve.
- Place the remaining 2 slices of bread on top to form sandwiches until ready to serve.
- Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and toasted, and the cheese is melted and gooey.
- Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, and serve immediately until ready to serve.
