Apple Cinnamon Roll Casserole by Lovevivv

Buttery spiced apples baked over pillowy cinnamon roll pieces with cream and icing.

Ingredients
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp light brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
- 1 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1–2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing packet
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for greasing pan)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and generously butter an 11-inch baking pan.
- Cut each cinnamon roll into bite-size pieces and spread them evenly across the prepared pan.
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter, then add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and diced apple. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 6–8 minutes until apples are tender and golden.
- Strain the syrup from the apples and set both aside separately; let the apples cool for 5 minutes.
- Scatter the cooked apples evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces in the pan.
- Pour the heavy cream over the entire pan, then drizzle the reserved apple syrup on top.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, checking at 30 minutes, until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and drizzle the included icing packet over the top while still warm. Serve immediately.
