Classic Fresh Basil Pesto by Love And Lemons

Ingredients
- 2 cup fresh basil leaves, packed
- 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for consistency
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 small garlic clove
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine the pine nuts, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped, about 30 seconds.
- Add the basil leaves to the food processor and pulse until incorporated, about 15 seconds.
- Drizzle in the olive oil with the motor running and process until smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and pulse briefly to combine, about 10 seconds; add more olive oil if a thinner consistency is desired.
