Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp finely diced red onion
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil or butter, optional for toasting
Instructions
- Mix the cottage cheese, red onion, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl until combined, about 1 minute.
- Toast the sourdough until lightly golden, about 2 to 3 minutes in a toaster or skillet.
- Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly over each slice of toast.
- Top with sliced jalapeño and shredded cheddar, covering the surface well.
- Air fry at 375°F for 3 to 5 minutes, or broil for 1 to 2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Serve immediately while the toast is crisp and the cheese is hot.
