Velvety smooth rice pudding infused with aromatic cinnamon and warm vanilla for a comforting custard-like finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine rice, milk, cinnamon sticks, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom, for 30-35 minutes.
  3. Stir in the sugar and continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes until the rice is tender and the milk has thickened to a custard-like consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Discard the cinnamon sticks and transfer to serving bowls.
  6. Dust with ground cinnamon before serving warm or chilled.
