Ingredients
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 medium yam or sweet potato, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup water, breast milk, or formula (for blending)
Instructions
- Peel and cut the yam into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
- Place the chicken breast and cubed yam into a steamer basket over boiling water.
- Steam for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the yam is fork-tender.
- Transfer the steamed chicken and yam to a blender or food processor.
- Add 1/4 cup of your chosen liquid (water, breast milk, or formula) and blend until a smooth, thin consistency is reached.
- Add more liquid one tablespoon at a time if a thinner consistency is desired.
