Quick and easy Indian yogurt condiment with aromatic spices and tempered flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup hing (asafoetida)
  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tbsp ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add a pinch of hing and 1 tsp jeera, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
