Rich, indulgent crab and spinach dip blended with cream cheese and finished with melted parmesan.

Ingredients

  • 225g (8 oz) lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 285g (10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 225g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper, mixing until smooth.
  3. Fold in the squeezed dry spinach and half of the parmesan cheese until evenly incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in the crab meat, being careful not to break up the lumps too much over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish and spread into an even layer until ready to serve.
  6. Top with the remaining parmesan cheese until ready to serve.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the cheese on top is golden brown.
