Ingredients

  • 900g (2 lb) chicken breast tenders
  • 2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator to ensure tenderness.
  2. Whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Dredge each marinated tender in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to coat evenly.
  4. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet to 175°C (350°F) and fry the tenders in batches for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drain the fried tenders on a wire rack to maintain crispiness.
  6. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stir in the honey, and whisk until combined.
  7. Drizzle the honey butter glaze over the warm chicken tenders immediately before serving.
