Ingredients
- 900g (2 lb) chicken breast tenders
- 2 cup buttermilk
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator to ensure tenderness.
- Whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
- Dredge each marinated tender in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to coat evenly.
- Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet to 175°C (350°F) and fry the tenders in batches for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain the fried tenders on a wire rack to maintain crispiness.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stir in the honey, and whisk until combined.
- Drizzle the honey butter glaze over the warm chicken tenders immediately before serving.
