Seared shrimp seasoned with Old Bay, served in warm tortillas for a fast lunch.

Ingredients

  • 150g (5 oz) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 2 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 2 tbsp shredded cabbage or lettuce (optional garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sour cream or lime crema (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and toss them in a bowl with the Old Bay seasoning until evenly coated.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for 30 seconds until pliable.
  5. Assemble the tacos by dividing the shrimp between the tortillas and adding your preferred garnishes.
