Crispy, savory smash burgers topped with fresh jalapeños, onions, and a tangy homemade burger sauce.

Ingredients
- 14 oz ground beef
- 0.5 cup thinly sliced onion
- 0.5 cup thinly sliced jalapeños
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 slices american cheese
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tbsp lawry's seasoning salt
- 3 tbsp mayo
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tsp pickled relish
- 1 tsp pickle juice
- 1 tsp mustard
Instructions
- Whisk mayo, ketchup, relish, pickle juice, mustard, and a pinch of seasoning salt in a small bowl; set aside.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, remove, and set aside on a paper towel.
- Divide ground beef into four 3.5 oz portions and roll into balls.
- Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
- Place beef balls in the skillet and immediately top each with a pile of sliced onions and jalapeños.
- Smash the balls down firmly with a heavy spatula, flattening them into thin patties over the onions and jalapeños.
- Season generously with ground pepper and Lawry's salt, then sear for 3 minutes until a dark crust forms.
- Flip the patties, top with American cheese, and cook for another 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Assemble burgers on buns with bacon and the prepared sauce.
