Homemade Nacho Cheese Sauce by Joshua Weissman Recipes
Smooth, molten cheese sauce easily customized with your favorite melting cheeses for any occasion.

Ingredients
- 225g (8 oz) cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Toss the shredded cheese with cornstarch in a medium bowl until evenly coated.
- Heat milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to steam, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the cheese mixture to the milk in small handfuls, whisking constantly until melted and smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic powder, paprika, and salt until fully incorporated.
- Remove from heat immediately once the sauce reaches a thick, pourable consistency.
