Tender chicken legs slow-cooked in a savory mushroom and herb gravy with sweet bell peppers.

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken legs
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine the chicken broth, gravy mix, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, cream of mushroom soup, and Dijon mustard in the slow cooker bowl, stirring until smooth.
  2. Add the chicken legs to the sauce and toss to coat thoroughly.
  3. Layer the sliced bell peppers and onions on top of the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, or on low for 5 to 7 hours, until chicken is tender and falling off the bone.
