Creamy, spicy shredded chicken dip with melted cheddar and tangy blue cheese, perfect for game day.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast, boneless skinless
  • 1 cup buffalo-style hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp blue cheese crumbles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts into the base of the slow cooker.
  2. Whisk together hot sauce, melted butter, black pepper, and onion powder in a bowl until smooth, then pour over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 2.5 to 3.5 hours or on low for 4 to 5 hours until the chicken is tender.
  4. Remove the chicken, shred it using two forks, and return the meat to the slow cooker.
  5. Add the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and blue cheese dressing to the pot, stirring until well combined.
  6. Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and the dip is creamy.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and blue cheese crumbles before serving warm.
