Spicy Garlic Cheesy Ramen by Hermanathome

Instant ramen elevated with a savory garlic-chili oil sauce and a blanket of melted cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 pack instant ramen noodles
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 slices processed cheese (or 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella)
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Boil a pot of water and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, usually about 3 minutes, then drain.
- Whisk together the minced garlic, chili oil, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a small heatproof bowl over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Crack the egg into the boiling water (or fry separately) until the white is set but the yolk remains runny, about 3 minutes.
- Combine the cooked noodles with the prepared garlic-chili sauce in a bowl, tossing until well coated.
- Top the hot noodles with the cheese slices, allowing the residual heat to melt them for 1 minute.
- Add the cooked egg, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve immediately until ready to serve.
