Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz each) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts evenly on both sides with salt and black pepper until ready to serve.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
- Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet, stirring until melted, about 1 minute.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits, and simmer for 2 minutes to slightly thicken.
- Return the chicken to the pan, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top, and cook for 1 minute to reheat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
