Garlic Butter Chicken by Groovyfoodiess

Tender pan-seared chicken breasts finished in a rich, aromatic garlic butter sauce with fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz each) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts evenly on both sides with salt and black pepper until ready to serve.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  3. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet, stirring until melted, about 1 minute.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits, and simmer for 2 minutes to slightly thicken.
  7. Return the chicken to the pan, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top, and cook for 1 minute to reheat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
