Ingredients
- 1 lb frozen french fries
- 8 oz lump crab meat, picked over for shells
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp old bay seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Bake or fry the french fries according to package directions until golden and crispy, about 15-20 minutes.
- Sauté the shrimp in a pan over medium-high heat with a pinch of garlic powder for 3-4 minutes until opaque and cooked through, then set aside.
- Prepare the cheese sauce by melting butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; whisk in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the cream, stirring constantly for 3-5 minutes until smooth and fully melted.
- Stir the Old Bay seasoning into the cheese sauce until well combined.
- Assemble the fries by placing them on a platter, topping with the cooked shrimp and lump crab meat, then drizzling generously with the warm Old Bay cheddar sauce.
