Crispy pan-seared salmon cubes glazed in a sticky honey, ginger, and garlic sauce over steamed rice.

Serves: 2Prep: 10 minCook: 10 min

Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cup cooked white rice (for serving)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon cubes dry with a paper towel and season lightly with salt.
  2. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add salmon cubes in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the honey and soy sauce, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a glaze coating the salmon.
  6. Remove from heat immediately to prevent burning the honey.
  7. Serve the salmon bites over a bed of warm white rice, drizzling any remaining glaze from the pan over the top.
