Crispy golden fried shrimp served with a trio of classic buffalo and creamy boom boom sauces.

Ingredients

  • 900g (2 lb) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 l vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (for tossing)
  • 1/2 cup boom boom sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy coating.
  2. Whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Dip each shrimp into the beaten egg, then dredge thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 175°C (350°F).
  5. Fry the shrimp in small batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Drain the fried shrimp on a wire rack or paper towels.
  7. Toss one-third of the shrimp in buffalo sauce and serve the remaining fried shrimp with a side of boom boom sauce.
