Ingredients

  • 0.75 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Stir together lukewarm milk, sugar, and yeast in a small jug; let stand for 15 minutes until foamy.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk the yogurt and egg together in a separate bowl
  4. Add the activated yeast mixture and the yogurt-egg mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring with a fork until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Adjust consistency by adding small amounts of milk if too dry, or flour if too soft.
  6. Gently knead the dough by hand until it forms a cohesive, rough ball.
  7. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and a tea towel; let proof in a warm spot for 2 hours until doubled in size.
