Garlic Butter Tofu by Foodwithfeeling
Crispy pan-seared tofu cubes tossed in a savory, aromatic garlic butter sauce with soy glaze.

Ingredients
- 400g (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegan butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 tbsp green onion, sliced
Instructions
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat neutral oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and sear tofu for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the vegan butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce and maple syrup, simmering for 1 minute until slightly thickened.
- Return the crispy tofu to the pan and toss gently to coat in the sauce for 1 minute.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately until ready to serve.
