Ingredients
- 450g (16 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1.5 tbsp maple syrup
- 0.5 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 0.25 tsp salt
Instructions
- Press the block of extra-firm tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into desired cubes or triangles.
- Whisk the marinade ingredients together in a bowl or directly in a large resealable bag.
- Place the cubed tofu into the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated, and seal the bag or container.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor penetration.
- Cook the tofu using your preferred method—baked at 200°C (400°F) for 25 minutes or pan-seared over medium-high heat until golden brown and crispy.
