Crispy pan-seared chicken thighs glazed in a sticky, sweet, and spicy honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 600g (1.3 lb) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil (for frying)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes (adjust for heat)

Instructions

  1. Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl until evenly coated.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same pan and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes, simmering for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat thoroughly in the glaze for 1-2 minutes before serving.
