Hot Honey Chicken and Halloumi Flatbreads by Foodbyfranchi

Pan-seared chicken and halloumi served on warm flatbreads with a spicy, sweet hot honey glaze.

Ingredients

  • 300g (10 oz) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 200g (7 oz) halloumi cheese, sliced into strips
  • 2 large flatbreads
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with salt and smoked paprika in a medium bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 6-8 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Add halloumi slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Whisk honey and chili flakes together in a small bowl while the proteins cook
  5. Pour the honey mixture over the chicken and halloumi in the pan, tossing for 1 minute until coated and glossy.
  6. Warm flatbreads in a clean pan or oven for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Assemble the flatbreads by topping each with the hot honey chicken and halloumi mixture.
