Cornflake Crunch Chocolate Cake by Fitwaffle

Ingredients
- 200g (1.5 cup) all-purpose flour
- 200g (1 cup) granulated sugar
- 50g (1/2 cup) cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 120ml (1/2 cup) whole milk
- 115g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cup cornflakes
- 60g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
- 50g (1/4 cup) light brown sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl
- Stir in eggs, milk, and melted butter until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly with a spatula
- Mix the cornflakes, melted butter, and brown sugar in a separate bowl until the flakes are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the cornflake mixture over the top of the cake batter
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
