Strawberry Blondie Skillet by Findswithlily

Strawberry blondie baked in a skillet, studded with sweet white chocolate chips and festive heart sprinkles.

Serves: 6Prep: 10 minCook: 25 min

Ingredients

  • 1 box (432g) strawberry cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp heart sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 20-23 cm (8-9 inch) oven-safe skillet or round baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and eggs. Mix with a spoon or spatula until just combined and no dry streaks remain, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Press the blondie batter evenly into the prepared skillet. You can sprinkle half of the heart sprinkles on top now, or reserve them for after baking.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (it should not be completely clean, as blondies are meant to be gooey).
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with the remaining heart sprinkles, if not added earlier. Let cool in the skillet for at least 15 minutes before serving warm.
  7. Serve directly from the skillet, optionally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
