Ingredients
- 225g (1 cup) browned butter, cooled
- 135g (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
- 200g (1 cup) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 315g (2 1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 200g (1 cup) mixed chocolate chips (mini, milk, wafers, and toblerone)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with butter.
- Whisk the cooled browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, whisking until fully combined and slightly aerated.
- Fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt using a spatula until just combined; do not overmix.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Press the cookie dough into the prepared skillet, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still soft.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
