- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2.25 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 0.5 cup crushed pretzels
- 0.5 cup toffee bits
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes, then let cool slightly.
- Whisk together the cooled brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the milk chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, and toffee bits
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
