Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup crushed pretzels
  • 0.5 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes, then let cool slightly.
  2. Whisk together the cooled brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the milk chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, and toffee bits
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
