Pesto and Turkey Neapolitan Pizza by Farshad Gordi

Crisp Neapolitan pizza base topped with vibrant basil pesto, tender turkey, and creamy burrata cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 pizza dough balls (250g each)
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto
  • 150g cooked turkey breast, sliced
  • 2 burrata cheese balls
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven with a pizza stone inside to its highest setting, typically 250°C (500°F), for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Dust a clean surface with flour and gently stretch each dough ball into a 10-12 inch circle, maintaining the airy rim until ready to serve.
  3. Spread 1/4 cup of pesto evenly over each dough base, leaving 1 inch at the edges for the crust until ready to serve.
  4. Arrange the sliced turkey over the pesto layer until ready to serve.
  5. Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone and bake for 6-8 minutes until the crust is charred and bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven, place one burrata ball in the center of each pizza, and drizzle with olive oil before serving at 375°F until golden and cooked through, about 25 min.
