Creamy emulsion of olive oil and egg seasoned with tangy dijon mustard and savory MSG.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp msg

Instructions

  1. Place the egg, olive oil, dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and MSG into a blender jar or tall cup designed for an immersion blender.
  2. Insert the immersion blender to the bottom of the container.
  3. Blend on high speed, keeping the blender at the base until the mixture begins to emulsify and turn thick and white.
  4. Slowly pull the blender upward through the mixture over 10-15 seconds until all oil is incorporated and the mayonnaise is smooth.
  5. Transfer to a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.
