Homemade Sweet and Salty Granola by Dinnerreinvented

Crisp blend of toasted nuts, hearty oats, and chewy raisins with a balanced salty-sweet finish.

Serves: 8Prep: 10 minCook: 30 min

Ingredients

  • 4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1.5 cup mixed raw nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), roughly chopped
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup
  • 0.33 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Add the rolled oats and chopped nuts to the liquid mixture, stirring until all dry ingredients are thoroughly coated.
  4. Spread the granola mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet until ready to serve.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the granola is golden brown and fragrant.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the pan to allow the granola to crisp up, about 30 minutes.
  7. Fold in the raisins once the granola is fully cooled and store in an airtight container over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
