Blueberry Matcha Latte by Dieteticaesthetic

Matcha latte layered with a sweet blueberry syrup and chilled milk for a balanced, earthy drink.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup blueberries
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, brown sugar, water, lemon juice, and vanilla bean paste in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 12 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool completely before blending until smooth.
  4. Whisk 1 tsp of matcha powder with a small amount of hot water until smooth.
  5. Fill a glass with ice, add 1-2 tbsp of blueberry syrup, pour in your preferred milk, and top with the prepared matcha.
