Ingredients
- 225g (1 cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 400g (2 cup) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 65g (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
- 60g (1/2 cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 100g (1/2 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk the melted butter and sugar together in a large bowl until smooth, about 1 minute.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, whisking until fully combined and slightly lightened in color.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, folding gently with a spatula until just combined to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before slicing into squares.
