Easy One-Pot Chicken Parm Pasta by Delish

Crispy breaded chicken served over cavatappi pasta in a rich marinara sauce with melted Italian cheeses.

Ingredients
- 4 frozen breaded chicken cutlets
- 1 lb cavatappi pasta
- 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 1 tsp salt (plus more for pasta water)
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated (divided)
- 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook frozen chicken according to package instructions until crispy; let cool slightly, then slice into strips.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sauté onion until translucent, about 7 minutes.
- Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in marinara sauce and 1 tsp salt, bringing the mixture to a low simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat thoroughly.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of the Parmesan until melted into the sauce.
- Top with the remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan and all of the mozzarella. Arrange sliced chicken on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is bubbly and golden, about 10-12 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
