Fresh berries simmered with honey and citrus into a vibrant, chunky fruit preserve.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the berries and water in a small saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Boil the mixture for 1 minute until the berries begin to break down.
  3. Stir in the honey and citrus juice.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Mash the mixture gently with a fork, retaining some fruit pieces for a chunky texture.
