Ingredients
- 2 cans (approx. 13.8 oz each) refrigerated pizza dough
- 8 pieces mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 box (16 oz) penne pasta
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tbsp all-purpose savory seasoning blend
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the penne pasta in boiling water for 10 minutes until al dente, drain, then mix with cheddar cheese, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning.
- Spread one can of pizza dough onto the prepared pan and arrange mozzarella cheese sticks around the perimeter, folding the dough edges over to seal them.
- Spread the pasta mixture into the center of the dough and sprinkle with 2 cups of mozzarella cheese.
- Lay the second can of pizza dough over the pasta layer, pressing edges firmly to seal the pizza.
- Mix the melted butter and parsley, brushing it over the top edges of the crust
- Spread the pizza sauce over the top dough layer, sprinkle with seasoning, remaining 2 cups of mozzarella, and pepperoni slices.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly; let cool slightly before slicing.
