Quick Red Beans and Sausage by Cowboychrisdorrah
Hearty red beans and savory sliced sausage simmered with aromatic spices, served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients
- 115g (1/2 cup) butter
- 1 link sausage, sliced
- 3 cans (15 oz each) red beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 3 tbsp all-purpose seasoning blend (divided)
- 4 cup cooked white rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Melt 115g of butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced sausage and 1 tablespoon of seasoning blend; cook for 3–5 minutes until browned and fragrant.
- Remove sausage from the pan and set aside in a bowl.
- Add the drained red beans to the same pan with the remaining seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder; stir to combine.
- Mash the beans thoroughly using a potato masher until the mixture begins to thicken, about 3–4 minutes.
- Stir the cooked sausage back into the bean mixture until evenly distributed and heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Serve immediately over warm cooked rice.
