Creamy One-Pot Spaghetti by Cookingwithmurph

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb spaghetti noodles
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 32 oz chicken broth
- 3/4 cup half and half
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat until fully cooked, then drain the excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, half and half, basil, sugar, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Add the uncooked spaghetti noodles to the pot, submerging them fully in the liquid.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent sticking, until the noodles are al dente and the sauce has thickened.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately, topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
