Savory seasoned ground beef and sharp cheddar cheese on soft Hawaiian rolls with garlic butter crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tbsp paprika
  • 0.5 tbsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 12 king's hawaiian rolls
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked, then drain the excess fat.
  3. Stir in the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard; cook for 2 minutes to blend flavors, then set aside.
  4. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to separate the tops from the bottoms.
  5. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into a casserole dish.
  6. Layer half of the cheddar cheese over the bottom buns, spread the cooked beef mixture evenly on top, drizzle with ketchup, and add the remaining cheese slices.
  7. Place the top halves of the rolls over the filling.
  8. Whisk together the melted butter, garlic salt, and parsley in a small bowl, then brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.
  9. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted.
