Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 0.25 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a small bowl, whisk together softened cream cheese, condensed milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; transfer to a piping bag and chill.
- Make the dough: Bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan
- Add flour: Remove from heat, stir in flour until a ball forms, then let cool for 5 minutes.
- Finish dough: Beat in the egg and vanilla until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- Pipe and fry: Pipe dough into 4-inch strips into 350°F oil and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Coat and fill: Roll warm churros in cinnamon sugar, then use a filler tool to inject the cheesecake cream into the center.
